  In 2008 the first   Slow Food Celebration   was held at San Francisco's Fort Mason celebrating sustainably produced fare.    Local design firms were invited to design and create individual taste pavilions utilizing repurposed ma

In 2008 the first Slow Food Celebration was held at San Francisco's Fort Mason celebrating sustainably produced fare.    Local design firms were invited to design and create individual taste pavilions utilizing repurposed materials.  The "Pickle & Chutney Pavilion" by SPA featured walls created with pickle jars and a suspended ceiling comprised of over 3,000 mason jar lids.
